Vice President of Finance and Accounting

BARBRI, Inc. is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Finance and Accounting to lead our Finance and Accounting function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this critical leadership role will oversee all accounting, financial reporting (domestic and international), FP&A, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance activities. This is a highly visible position requiring strong technical acumen, operational leadership, and experience within a private equity environment.
The Vice President will lead the entire finance organization, including accounting and FP&A, and will be a key partner to the CFO and executive leadership team in driving financial strategy, discipline, and performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all accounting, finance, and treasury functions, including a high-performing team across general ledger, AR/AP, financial reporting, FP&A, and tax.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, with consolidated reporting across domestic and international entities (including a UK subsidiary).
- Ensure proper treasury management, cash forecasting, cash collections, payables and ongoing debt management and covenant compliance.
- Direct all internal and external financial reporting, including preparation of board materials, investor updates, and lender compliance.
- Oversee annual audits, tax filings, and relationships with external audit and tax advisors.
- Lead the FP&A function, driving budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, and decision support across the organization.
- Direct risk management function through administration of commercial insurance program, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating all corporate risks.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and ensure compliance with all regulatory and private equity sponsor requirements.
- Partner with the CFO on strategic planning, capital allocation, and M&A due diligence and integration efforts.
- Champion continuous improvement of systems, processes, and financial infrastructure to support growth and scalability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including prior leadership as a controller or AVP in a private equity-backed company.
- Strong foundation in public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm) in audit, assurance, or advisory.
- Experience managing treasury operations, debt compliance, tax matters, and annual audits.
- Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP and experience with international financial reporting (IFRS) and consolidations.
- Proven leadership of both accounting and FP&A functions, with strong team development and cross-functional collaboration.
- Hands-on, operational mindset with excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
